PixElect.in ("we", "our", or "us") is dedicated to protecting the privacy, creative assets, and personal information of photographers, studios, and wedding clients. This Privacy Policy details our data governance practices in strict compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA).
📥 1. Information We Collect
Studio name, admin name, registered mobile number, email address, password hash, and studio watermark logo.
Client/couple name, event date, event folders (e.g., Haldi, Reception), private gallery PIN, and client photo selections/favorites.
Lightweight image previews uploaded for selection, watermarked preview files, and digital photobook spreads.
IP address, browser type, device operating system, session tokens, and access logs required to maintain PIN security.
🤖 2. PixEvent AI & Facial Recognition Data Handling
Strict Privacy Protocols for Event Guests:
- Purpose-Bound Matching: Selfies submitted by event guests are utilized exclusively to match against photographs taken at that particular event.
- Transient Processing: Facial geometry vectors are computed solely in temporary memory to perform clustering. We do not maintain universal biometric databases or link identity across different weddings.
- Zero AI Training: Guest photos and facial embeddings are never used to train public machine learning or third-party AI models.
- Automated Purge: Selfies and temporary match embeddings are automatically deleted following event closure or upon gallery expiry.
🎯 3. Purpose & Legal Basis of Processing
We process personal and client data under the following legitimate grounds:
- To provide fast gallery sharing, PIN verification, and automated client selections
- To deliver transactional notifications, WhatsApp access links, and billing receipts
- To operate our WebAssembly local RAW file copier and 3D photobook viewer
- To maintain platform uptime, deter unauthorized scraping, and secure client galleries
🔒 4. Infrastructure Security & Data Safeguards
- Encryption in Transit & at Rest: All web traffic is protected via modern TLS 1.3 / 256-bit SSL encryption.
- Client PIN Gate: Client galleries are non-indexed and protected with 4-digit studio PINs to restrict viewing to authorized family members.
- Non-Public Object Storage: Storage buckets are isolated with granular IAM permissions, firewall barriers, and automated snapshot backups.
🚫 5. No Sale of Data & Third-Party Sub-processors
Pixelect has never and will never sell, rent, or monetize your photographs or personal information. Data is shared strictly with essential technical sub-processors under robust data protection covenants:
- Payment Gateways (Razorpay/Cashfree/Stripe) for encrypted payment settlement
- Cloud Infrastructure (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Cloudflare) for hosting and DDoS protection
- Transactional Communication Gateways (Meta WhatsApp Business API) for sending PINs
🗑️ 6. Right to be Forgotten & Data Deletion
Under the DPDPA 2023, you have the right to access, correct, or request the permanent erasure of your personal data. Photographers can delete individual projects, albums, or client selections directly from their Admin Dashboard. To request full account termination and erasure of all associated data, submit a request to support@pixelect.in. All associated preview assets are permanently purged within 14 business days.
